SliceSwitch Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the download, installation, purchase and use of the SliceSwitch mobile application (“SliceSwitch” or the “App”).

The App is provided by:

By downloading, purchasing or using SliceSwitch, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Platform terms

SliceSwitch is distributed through third-party app stores, including Apple’s App Store and Google Play.

Your use of the store, store account, payment service and downloaded application is also subject to the applicable store’s terms.

These Terms supplement the applicable platform terms. Mandatory law and mandatory app-store terms take precedence where they cannot legally be modified by these Terms.

Apple and Google are not responsible for providing support for SliceSwitch except to the extent required under their own terms or applicable law.

2. Eligibility and minors

You may use SliceSwitch only if you are legally permitted to enter into these Terms.

If you are under the age at which you can independently enter into a binding agreement in your country, you may use the App only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

In-app purchases must be authorised by the applicable store-account holder. Parents and guardians are responsible for configuring purchase-approval and parental-control settings on the device and store account.

SliceSwitch is not specifically designed or marketed as a children’s application.

3. The SliceSwitch service

SliceSwitch is a reaction and attention game in which players respond to changing visual instructions and cut selected shapes under time pressure.

The App may provide:

gameplay levels;
scoring and star ratings;
precision and reaction-time measurements;
Focus Chain and progression features;
local tutorials and milestone information;
locally stored gameplay history and preferences.

Gameplay results are provided for entertainment and personal challenge. They are not medical, psychological, diagnostic, educational-certification or professional performance assessments.

4. Free content and paid expansion

Levels 1–20 are available without an in-app purchase.

Levels 21–50 may be unlocked through a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase described in the App as an expansion or permanent unlock.

Before completing a purchase, the applicable app store displays the current price, currency, applicable taxes and purchase conditions.

The purchase grants a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to access the purchased SliceSwitch content, subject to:

these Terms;
the applicable app-store terms;
continued lawful availability of the App and store platform;
technical compatibility with a supported device and operating system.

The purchase does not transfer ownership of the App, its source code, artwork, audio, levels, trademarks or other intellectual property.

The paid expansion is not a recurring subscription. It does not automatically renew.

5. Purchase processing

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google through the platform from which the App was obtained.

Focus Labs does not directly collect or store full payment-card information.

We use RevenueCat to validate purchases, restore entitlements and determine whether paid content should be available.

A purchase is completed only when confirmed by the applicable app store. Failed, pending, cancelled or declined transactions do not create a right to paid access until the store confirms completion.

Prices and availability may differ between countries or platforms and may change before purchase. Changes do not result in an additional charge for a purchase that has already been completed.

6. Restoring purchases

SliceSwitch provides a method to restore eligible previous purchases.

Restoration generally requires:

the same Apple or Google store account used for the original purchase;
access to the corresponding platform;
an internet connection;
continued availability of the purchase through that store.

Because SliceSwitch does not use a player account, purchases made through Apple are not guaranteed to transfer to Google Play, and purchases made through Google Play are not guaranteed to transfer to Apple.

Deleting and reinstalling the App may remove local gameplay progress. Restoring a purchase restores the eligible purchase entitlement, but it may not restore locally stored scores, stars, gameplay history or settings.

7. Refunds and consumer rights

Purchase billing, cancellation and refund requests are generally handled by the app store through which the purchase was made.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any refund, conformity, repair, replacement, price-reduction, termination or other consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Consumers in the European Union and other jurisdictions may have mandatory rights relating to digital content. Any exclusion or limitation in these Terms applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

8. Licence

Subject to these Terms, Focus Labs grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable and non-transferable licence to install and use SliceSwitch on devices you own or control, as permitted by the applicable store rules.

The App is licensed, not sold.

You may use SliceSwitch only for personal and non-commercial purposes unless Focus Labs gives prior written permission for another use.

9. Prohibited use

You must not:

copy, sell, rent, sublicense or commercially distribute the App;
reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App except where applicable law expressly permits it;
extract or reuse game assets, levels, audio, graphics or source code;
remove copyright, trademark or ownership notices;
modify the App or distribute an unauthorised modified version;
circumvent purchase verification or paid-content restrictions;
exploit bugs to obtain paid access without authorisation;
interfere with the App, RevenueCat, an app store or related technical systems;
use the App unlawfully or to infringe the rights of another person;
use automated tools to manipulate gameplay results or store systems.

10. Local progress and data

SliceSwitch stores gameplay progress and settings locally on the device.

Unless a future version expressly introduces a cloud-save feature:

Focus Labs does not provide cloud backup of gameplay progress;
local progress may be lost if the App is deleted, its storage is cleared, the device is reset or the save file becomes unavailable;
operating-system backup or device-transfer functions may behave differently depending on the device and account settings;
purchase restoration does not guarantee restoration of gameplay progress.

We use reasonable measures to protect local save integrity, but no storage system can be guaranteed to be completely error-free.

11. Updates and compatibility

We may provide updates to:

fix errors;
improve security or compatibility;
adjust gameplay presentation or balancing;
add, modify or remove features;
comply with app-store or legal requirements.

Some updates may be necessary for continued use of the App or purchase restoration.

We do not guarantee that the App will remain compatible indefinitely with every device, operating-system version or app-store environment.

We will not intentionally require a user to repurchase the same expansion on the same supported store account solely because the App has been updated. This does not guarantee cross-platform transfer between Apple and Google.

12. Availability

We aim to keep SliceSwitch functional and available, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed.

Access may be affected by:

device compatibility;
operating-system changes;
store outages;
purchase-service outages;
internet availability during purchase verification or restoration;
legal or regulatory requirements;
security issues;
events outside our reasonable control.

The core gameplay may work offline after installation, but purchases, purchase validation, restoration, legal-page access and some platform functions may require an internet connection.

13. Health and safety

SliceSwitch involves time pressure, rapid decision-making, movement and changing visual elements.

Use the App in a safe environment and stop using it if you experience discomfort, dizziness, eye strain, nausea or other adverse symptoms.

Do not use the App while driving, operating machinery, walking in dangerous surroundings or performing any activity that requires your full attention.

Haptic feedback and sound can be adjusted through the App or device settings where supported.

14. Intellectual property

SliceSwitch and all associated content, including its:

name and branding;
software and source code;
game rules and level implementations;
visual design;
graphics and animations;
sounds and music;
written content;
icons and other assets,

are owned by Focus Labs or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

No ownership right is transferred under these Terms.

Third-party trademarks and platform names remain the property of their respective owners.

15. Third-party services

The App may rely on third-party services, including:

Apple’s App Store;
Google Play;
RevenueCat;
the device operating system;
external browsers and email applications.

These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services to the extent that their operation is outside our reasonable control.

16. Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SliceSwitch is provided on an “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

the App will always be uninterrupted or error-free;
every device will measure touch input identically;
gameplay results will have any medical, psychological or professional meaning;
local progress can always be recovered after deletion, device failure or operating-system action;
third-party services will remain continuously available.

These disclaimers do not affect mandatory warranties, statutory conformity rights or other consumer protections that cannot legally be excluded.

17. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Focus Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the App, including loss of local progress, scores or settings, where such loss was not caused by our breach of a mandatory legal duty.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for:

death or personal injury caused by negligence where such liability cannot be excluded;
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
wilful misconduct or gross negligence where applicable;
breach of mandatory consumer rights;
any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

For consumers, this section applies only to the extent permitted under the mandatory law of their country of residence.

18. Suspension and termination

You may stop using SliceSwitch at any time by deleting the App.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary if:

the App is used unlawfully;
purchase verification is intentionally circumvented;
continued operation creates a security or legal risk;
continued distribution is prohibited by an app store or public authority;
these Terms are materially breached.

Termination does not remove rights that accrued before termination and does not limit mandatory consumer remedies.

19. Privacy

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect:

changes to the App;
new legal or regulatory requirements;
security or technical developments;
changes to purchase or platform services.

The updated Terms will be published at:

The date at the top will indicate the latest revision.

Material changes will apply prospectively unless an earlier application is required by law. Changes will not remove mandatory consumer rights or retroactively impose an additional charge for content already purchased.

21. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights available under the law of the user’s country of residence.

Nothing in these Terms deprives a consumer of the protection of mandatory provisions that would apply in the absence of this governing-law clause.

Before starting formal proceedings, users are encouraged to contact us so that we can attempt to resolve the issue directly.

Consumers may also use any competent consumer-protection body, alternative dispute-resolution mechanism or court available to them under applicable law.

22. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. The invalid provision will apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

23. Entire agreement

These Terms, the SliceSwitch Privacy Policy and the applicable app-store terms form the contractual framework governing use of the App.

They do not exclude information or rights that must be provided or preserved under mandatory law.
